No drama, just racing. Honestly I wasn't great today, but I guess I was okay since I maintained about the same gap (if not better) that I usually do on the very good Focus ST driver. About 1.5 seconds slower than him. As to my comment on his skill, he came 7th in PAX today. I was hoping to catch a ride along to learn how to drive FWD, but I had to leave early
Of course results aren't all that important. Had a blast as always. Met another Oppo member (Danceswithrotors), continued my wichita oppo dominance (tsk tsk midengineer).
I did a ride along in a C6 and a C5 Z06. Fuck that Z06 was fast. The C6 was quick too. I'd really like one of those. Starting to lean more towards C6 than C5 if only because the C6 is a little bit nicer inside and by the time I can afford one the prices should be good.
I also rode in Danceswithrotors Mazda 3. He's done good mods to it, I was impressed. Rode in Sportwagons sporty wagon, can't decide what had more body roll: it or the murdersofa. I was far less terrified in the wagon though.

Oh, and actually in my last run I managed to find a nearly straight line through that section, but I hit a cone before there and generally stunk. I guess I felt too much pressure when a very good driver asked to ride along because he heard I was really fast....

I would also have cracked under the pressure.
Also, everyone at these events is in agreement that the Focus ST should not be in GS. It fucking wrecks everyone, and it's pissing me off.
I'm guessing the Focus ST in your region also does this?
(the only FoST I haven't beaten is the president of the Region, and I'm only about .5 seconds behind him most of the time)

PAX, for people who don't want to drive a fast car.
Nice clean run, that layout would drive me nuts with all the slaloms.

We don't have enough people for every class to be filled and some of us don't own a fast car so PAX is really the only way to compare to the pack.
The only people in my class were the focus and myself.

There's only been one Focus ST here and yes, he wins every time. Occasionally some GTIs show up in GS and I beat them. What class is the FiST? DS?
